Things that are made by nature are called natural things.

Things which have lives are called living things.

Ans:- pencil, gun, shoes, watch, building

Ans:- star, sun, moon, lake, coal

Write five different between living things and non-living things. 

The five difference between living things and non-living things are. 

1- Living things need food and water but Non-living things do not need food and water.

2- Living things need air but Non-living things do not need air. 

3- Living things grow but Non-living things do not grow. 

4- Living things move, feel and respond but Non-living things do not move, feel and respond.

5- Living things reproduce but Non-living things do not reproduce.

Plant world 

 What are water plants? Write five example.

Plants that grow in water are called water plants. They are also called aquatic plants.
Ex:- Lotus, Hydrilla, waterlily, water hyacinth, water chestnut, water stargrass  etc.

Why do climbers need support to grow?

The climbers need support to grow because they have weak stem.

What are seasonal plants? Write five example.

Plants which grow and flower in a particular season are called seasonal plants. Herbs are seasonal plants.

Ex:- Basil, ginger, paddy, wheat, gram

What are thorny plants? Write five examples. 

Ans:- Some plants have thorns on their stems and branches. They are called thorny plants.

Ex:- Rose, Prickly pear , Cactus, lemon, babool

What are Non-green plants?

Plants which do not have chlorophyll are called Non-green plants.
Ex:- Mushroom, moulds etc.

How do green plants make their food?

 Green plants make their food by a process called photosynthesis. they make their food with the help of sunlight, water, air, minerals and chlorophyll.
 

How do human beings get their food?

Human beings get their food from plants and animals.

Parts of plant

How many parts of plant? name them.

 There are eight main parts of plant.

What is root?


Ans:- The part of the plant that fixes the plant to the ground is called root. It grows inside the soil. It takes water and minerals from the soil.


How many types of root?

Ans:- There are two types of root.

1- tap root

2- fibrous root

Ans:- carrot, radish

Write two example of fibrous root.

Ans:- rice and wheat

 What is stem?

Ans:- The part of the plant that found just above the soil is called stem. It carries food and water to all parts of the plant . It holds the plant upright.

Who bear leaves?

Ans:- Branches bear leaves.

Write two functions of leaves.

Ans:-  Leaves make food for the plant. leaves help the plants to breathe.

Animal World

 

  1-What are Wild animals?

Ans- Animals that live in jungle are called wild animals

Ex:- elephant, deer, tiger, lion etc.

2- Which is the biggest animal on earth?

Ans:- Whale

3- What are land animals?

Ana:- Those animals that live on land are called land animals.

Ex- cow, tiger, deer, buffalo

4- What are water animals?

Ans:-Those animals that live in water are called water animals.

Ex:- shark, octopus, whale, dolphin, fish, crocodile etc.

5- What are arial animals?

Ans:- Animals that fly in air are called arial animals.

Ex:- birds, dragonfly, butterfly, bat etc.

6:- What are amphibians?

Ans:- Animals that live both on land and in water are called amphibians.

Ex:- frog, hippopotamus, penguin.

7:- What are herbivores?

Ans:- Animals that eat only plants are called herbivores.

Ex:- cow, goat, giraffee etc.. 

8:- What are carnivores?

Ans:- Animals that eat only flesh of other animals are called carnivores.

Ex:- tiger, shark, lion etc..

9:- What are omnivores?

Ans:- Animals that eat both plants and flesh of other animals are called omnivores.

Ex:- bear, crow, man, dog etc..

10:- What are scavengers?

Ans:- Animals that eat the flesh of other dead animals are called scavengers.

Ex:- vulture, hyenas, etc..

11:- What are insectivorous?

Ans:- Animals that eat insects are called insectivorous.

Ex:- house lizard, frog etc.

Ans:- The hardest part of the body that give shape to the body are called bones.

Ans:- The upper most part of the body that covers the muscles and bones is called skin.

Ans:- There are 206 bones in our body.

5- How many muscles are there in our body?

Ans:- There are more than 600 muscles in our body. 

6- Who give shape and support to the body?

Ans:- Bones and muscles give shape and support to the body.

Ans:- Muscles help the bones to move.

Ans:- When the same weather  continuous for a period of time. It is called a season.

Summer is the hottest season.
It is very sunny season.
The hot wind blows in summer season.
We sweat a lot in summer season.
